General tips
- Turn printed garments inside out before washing to protect the print.
- Wash with similar colours; wash new bright/dark colours separately for the first few washes.
- Skip fabric softener on stretch fabrics — it can reduce elasticity over time.
- Avoid bleach unless a garment is labelled bleach-safe.
- Low heat prolongs the life of scrubs — high heat can set stains and weaken fibres.
Equipment
For stethoscopes, blood-pressure monitors and other diagnostic equipment, always follow the manufacturer's manual for cleaning, disinfection, storage and calibration. Wipe surfaces with an appropriate disinfectant, avoid submerging electronic devices, and keep instruments in their case when not in use.
